US exchange programs alumni nurturing and inspiring future alumni

Aya Somai a YES exhcange program alumna talking to Ilyes Riahi an ACLC member
Take a stand,be prepared to take the responsibility, work hard, endure the journey of your dream and change your life.
December the 6th, it was the fourth session in American Corner Leadership Club When the bell rings we have no worries, only the excitement of meeting the unique and novel challenges of competition
Today was really special; we had the chance to meet three guests.  Actually it was them who opened the gateway to our understanding of the importance of motivation and hard work.
Eya Somai and Mondher Tounsi YES exchange programs alumni
There were two YES program alumna pupils Mondher Tounsi and Eya Somai who told us about their experiences in the exchange program and the hardships. They explained some facts about life in the U.S, high schools in a funny way .Then they shared with us their best moments, places and even what Mondher’s friends wrote for him. They gently answered all of our questions it was really great we enjoyed listening to their stories and we found it interesting because they inspired us to look for such opportunities.

Than we met Khalil Shefai Tunisian entrepreneur who has four companies while he is 23 years old he told us about his start from the bottom by sharing his expertise. He also gave us some real examples of corruption in Tunisian companies and he was very helpful in replying to all our questions and finally he gave us some advices in order to strengthen our desires and transform it into the energy of will which will lead us to fully achieve our goals and at the highest level whatever it is. We are grateful for their insightful and inspirational help and guidance throughout this club.
What we learnt today is so important that is; you do not have to search far and wide to find your potential, embrace what is already inside of you. The more we engage in doing whatever it is that brings us passion, the richer our life experience becomes. Also realizing and creating one’s own destiny is not only for the rich and famous it is a God-given right for all of us. Don’t waste precious times allow yourself to dream but realize that anything is possible and if you see that it is possible then you are halfway there.
Khali Chafai an entrepreneur  talking to our mentees
.
Sometimes you may find that you need to do something that is necessary for your own survival, but you are unable to motivate yourself. However, if you place yourself in an environment that reinforces the goal you are trying to achieve and surrounded by optimistic people you will often be successful and that’s what ACLC is. As an undergraduate student I had the amazing opportunity to be part of this club and to meet such nice and interesting people.
